Tearaway Marketing ("Tearaway Marketing," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through tearawaymarketing.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

Tearaway Marketing is a full-service marketing agency based in Cache Valley, Utah. We design and host websites and produce content, advertising, email, and social media for e-commerce brands and local service businesses.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, use our pop-up to tell us about your business, request a quote, or email us, we collect the details you choose to provide — such as your name, phone number, email address, business type, website, and any message you send.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or health data) through the Site, and we ask that you not send it to us.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and follow up about working together;
  • To provide, operate, and improve our services and the Site;
  • To send you information you've requested or that relates to a project, and — only where permitted — occasional marketing messages you can opt out of at any time;
  • To measure and improve our marketing and the Site's performance;
  • To protect the Site, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host (Squarespace), our form/lead delivery provider (Formspree), email and analytics tools, and advertising platforms (such as Google and Meta) — each handling data on our behalf or under their own policies;
  • Legal and safety purposes, when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
  • Business transfers, if Tearaway Marketing is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we'll notify you of any change in how your information is handled.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. We also use analytics and advertising tools — which may include Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and similar pixels — that set their own cookies to measure performance and show relevant ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Site works.

6. Third-party links and platforms

The Site may link to third-party websites and platforms we don't control. This Policy doesn't cover their practices — please review their privacy policies. Our use of Google services complies with Google's API and advertising policies; our use of Meta services complies with Meta's platform terms.

7. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described here — to respond to you, to provide services, and to meet legal, tax, or recordkeeping requirements — after which we delete or anonymize it.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or comparable laws), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which we do not do. To exercise any of these, contact us using Section 11.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
